About KJ

Jagadheeswaran Krishnan (KJ as he is called) is a Strategy Professional based in Zambia and was till recently the Chief Operating Officer for 260 Brands, a leading FMCG organization, having handled several Top management positions spanning 3 decades.

KJ has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Strategic Management from the University of Zambia and an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneshwar, India. KJ is also a Mechanical Engineer from NIT Trichy. Both NIT Trichy and Xavier Institute of Management are premier Institutes in India ( Top 10)  and UNZA being a Nodal university in Zambia. KJ has more than 33 years of strong cross industry and cross functional experience and has developed an affinity in the areas of Strategic Management. A Six sigma green belt holder, a Balanced Score Card Master Professional, and having currently completed his Phd in Strategic Management in the areas of National Competitive advantage, KJ is keen in developing National talent and participates in many forums expressing his thoughts on management areas. The blog expresses many of his learning in the areas of Strategy and Systems thinking.

As a reflection of his social responsibility KJ runs an NGO Smart Villages Africa ( www.smart-villages.org )with a Vision of Transforming Poverty to Prosperity and also focused on the upliftment of underprivileged girl children and women under a special scheme WHEELS ( Women Health Empowerment, Education Loan Schemes).

Proud moments...

KJ graduated for his Phd in Management on the 22nd May 2025 during an event at the University of Zambia. His thesis titled " An investigation into National competitive advantage of Zambia in select industries using Porter's model and its variants" gives perspectives of Industry and key informants on the strengths and gaps in the current industry landscape and the dissertation gives a glimpse of the way forward.
